Retardo 07/01/10

Good day.

First things first.

Cloth. Is. An. Utter. Anoyance. To put it nicely.

Working with the NSC Creative team full time leaves me with very little time for this project, and even less patience for nCloth in Maya. However, I have been able to add MUH's cape to the scenes... work through them one by one... alter anything that is going wrong... change wind direction and speed to avoid cape-in-face... change gravity settings and scale to avoid cape-in-face... change many different settings to avoid cape-in-face.... and now i think the animation side of the project proudly lacks any uncomfortable cape-in-face. Or cape-on-hand. Or cape-on-foot. Or cape-on-cape.

So what is left? well there are a couple of minor things i want to revisit animation-wise. I havr to make sure all of the background is looking right and consistant scene to scene. I have to light the four (out of six) scenes that dont have any lighting (which shouldnt be too bad) and then click render.

After probably a couple of weeks rendering out different layers, I should be ok to put it all together in After Effects or Combustion (probably AE) and do as much post-production work to it as needed. I have 2 months; I need to get to it!

Anyway, I hope you have enjoyed this little blog and the animation that is attached!
